Data Deletion
You can delete your Bruk It Up account and data yourself, at any time, from inside the app or from this page — no email to support required. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
From inside the app
Open Profile → Account → Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. Your data is erased right away and you are signed out.
From the web
Go to https://api.brukitup.com/delete, enter your account email, and open the confirmation link we send you. The link is valid for about one hour; opening it completes the deletion. For your privacy, the page responds the same way whether or not an account exists for that email.
What gets removed
- Erased immediately: your profile (name, email, image), sign-in credentials and sessions, email verification codes, all game data (runs, stage results, lives, and power-up entitlements), your friends and social graph, your profile snapshot and last active time (what your friends can see), and any push notification token.
- Anonymized: your coins ledger. Each entry is detached from you and re-keyed to a random token, keeping only amount, reason, time, and store transaction id. It can no longer be linked back to you.
- Retained briefly: the anonymized ledger, for up to 400 days for refund and fraud reconciliation, then purged automatically each day. We also keep a deletion audit record that contains no personal data.
- May persist: records of past multiplayer matches you hosted can retain the display name that was shown to the other players in that match. Usage and crash-diagnostic events already sent to our analytics and error-reporting providers (PostHog, Sentry) are retained under their retention settings and are not removed by this deletion. To have those removed too, email info@brukitup.com.
Prefer a copy first?
Before deleting, you can export your data: Profile → Account → Export my data saves a file (once every 30 days) with your profile, linked sign-ins, game progress, and coin ledger.
Purchases
Refunds for past purchases are handled by Apple or Google, the merchant of record — deleting your account here does not request a refund from the store.
